A late-1970s lithograph printed in Paris on Arches paper utilizing traditional stone plates. From a limited edition of 250, pencil-numbered by hand and plate-signed. This print has been custom-framed with MunnWorks archival materials.
Russian by birth, Marc Chagall was educated in St. Petersburg and Paris, eventually emigrating to France in 1923. Although influenced early on by Russian Expressionism and French Cubism, Chagall created a style that was unique to the 20th century. His mastery of color suffuses his paintings and prints as well as the stained glass work that he created for European cathedrals.
